Liz has many years of teaching experience in northern communities across Canada and overseas. Her Master's thesis focused on integrating hand-held technology to improve students' skills in a physical education setting. For the last 5 years, she has been working with K - 12 teachers in Manitoba and Ontario facilitating professional development opportunities to build skills and knowledge for the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives in the classroom.
